Dress for Success Billings provides career mentoring services through their Career Center program. Clients are assisted with writing a resume, interview skills, job searching, and can also partake in online certification courses. Local business women volunteer to mentor clients who participate in the mentoring program, teaching them the skills to maintain and advance in their employment. Professional development workshops are also offered along with computer classes, financial education, health and wellness such as yoga, and hobby classes.
Dress for Success Billings also provides interview and work appropriate clothing. During the initial suiting, clients are able to select an interview outfit, as well as jewelry, makeup, shoes, and other accessories. The client is also offered a complimentary haircut that has been donated from several area stylists. This entire experience gives clients the confidence to land their job. Once the client lands her job, she is allowed to return for an employment suiting, where she is provided several coordinating outfits appropriate for her occupation. After the client has been employed for 30 days, the client is invited back for a final suiting to reward her for maintaining employment. All donated clothing items are free to their clients.
While Dress for Success Billings provides each client with professional attire to secure employment, they are much more than simply a new outfit. Besides physically equipping the client with apparel and accessories, the programs furnish her with a confidence that she carries forever and the knowledge that she can actively define her life, the direction she takes and what success means to her.
